Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to perform cleaning duties in assigned buildings, maintaining a sanitary, orderly environment. You will execute high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom care, trash removal, floor care, grounds maintenance, and public area cleaning daily.

Adherence to safety, proper chemical use, and courteous customer interaction are essential. Responsibilities include inspecting spaces, reporting issues, and supporting food court cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height and removing fingerprints.
• Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing including toilets and dispensers.
• Emptying trash cans and replacing liners.
• Floor dusting, mopping and vacuuming, including under furniture.
• Grounds care: outdoor areas, sidewalks and benches.
• Cleaning public common areas and ensuring glass and planters are clean.
• Food court area cleaning, trash removal and sanitizing tables.
• Floor sanitizing starting from room back and moving toward exits.
• Inspecting rooms and reporting issues to supervisor.
• Customer relations: polite, helpful, and quiet behavior; report faults.
