Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High Dusting: clean high surfaces around rooms using a treated duster.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: sanitize surfaces below shoulder height and wipe fingerprints on door knobs and walls.
• Bathroom Cleaning: clean toilet areas with germicidal solution and maintain dispensers.
• Empty Trash Cans: replace liners and wipe cans as needed.
• Floor Dusting or Vacuuming: dust mop and vacuum under furniture and in restrooms.
• Grounds care: outdoor areas cleaned; police sidewalks, beds, curb lines for trash; clean benches and windows.
• Public Common Areas: dust mop main hallways and ensure glass and planters are clean.
• Food Court: clean and sanitize tables, remove trash, wash trays.
• Floor Sanitizing: sanitize floors starting from back of room; clean under furniture.
• Your Inspection: review cleaning steps and check for dust, cobwebs, and proper furniture placement.
