Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking a Facility Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of athletics facilities, including competition venues, practice spaces, and support areas. You will develop schedules for practices, games, camps, and external rentals, and implement use policies.

The role requires managing event preparation, coordinating with game operations, marketing, ticketing, and vendors, supervising staff, and ensuring safety, ADA compliance, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
• Two to five years of responsible experience in facility operations, event management, athletics administration, or related areas.
• Experience managing large-scale facilities, events, or operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of athletics facilities and support spaces.
• Develop and manage facility schedules for practices, competitions, camps, and external rentals.
• Establish and implement operational procedures and facility use policies.
• Manage facility preparation for home athletic contests and departmental events.
• Coordinate venue setup/breakdown for special events and liaise with vendors.
• Supervise operations staff, student workers, and interns.
