Job summary

University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeks an Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities and Event Operations to manage events and facilities for campus and community activities. The role works under the Associate Athletic Director to deliver professional event services and ensure safety and smooth operations across athletics facilities.

The incumbent coordinates event set-ups, maintenance, and emergency planning, while collaborating with campus partners to support a high level of service.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• Experience supervising staff and students.
• Experience managing large athletic events and facility operations.
• Prior college athletics facility/event management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage athletic events to support the department's mission.
• Provide event services and facility management for campus and community.
• Ensure safety, coordinate event set-ups, and oversee maintenance.
• Develop Emergency Action Plans with Emergency Management.
• Coordinate facility use for university and community events.
• Produce and update the Game Day Operations Manual and distribute info.
• Collaborate with campus departments (Police, Parking, Facilities, Recycling, Waste).
