Job summary

The University of Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Director of Athletic Events and Facilities to lead event operations for home athletics and special events. You will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Facilities and help plan, prepare, and execute activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating venue setup/teardown, crowd management, and support for facility projects, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years in collegiate/professional event/facility management preferred.
• Ability to work independently and resolve problems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event management for select sports/events and coordinate venue setup/teardown.
• Assist with daily facility operations, work orders, and end-user communication.
• Support coordination and execution of Conference and NCAA post-season events.
