Job summary

University of North Carolina Charlotte seeks an Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities and Event Operations to oversee athletic events and facility management for the campus and the Charlotte community.

Under guidance from the Associate Athletic Director, the role ensures daily operations, event management for assigned sports, and high-level customer service while coordinating with campus departments for facilities support and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• The Associate Director is responsible for the daily operation, management, and safety of athletic events.
• This position serves as the event manager for assigned sports.
• Coordinates with the Assistant Director to manage all aspects of events and ensure high level customer service.
• Oversees safety, event setups, routine maintenance for facilities and staff development.
• Develops operating policies/procedures and updates the Emergency Action Plan with the Emergency Management department.
• Coordinates facility use for all scheduled University and community events.
• Produces and updates the Game Day Operations Manual and disseminates game day information.
