Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control (ATC) Scenario Development SME to support FAA contract work in Oklahoma City. You will develop, analyze, and package training scenarios for FAA terminal facilities, and provide Red Hat Linux administration backup for the SimFast Web Server.

The role requires hands-on training, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with FAA personnel and facility staff. Remote work is possible with on-site requirements as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in air traffic control simulation and scenario development.
  • Familiarity with FAA terminal facility operations, SOPs and LOAs.
  • Must have CPC certification with ATCS or first-level management experience within last 5 years (customer approval may waive).
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux administration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training scenarios for FAA terminal facilities using official tools and coordinate with FAA TL and Lead SME.
  • Provide simulation development training and technical support to facility staff.
  • Become familiar with facility operations, SOPs, LOAs, and data to align scenarios with objectives.
  • Analyze facility scenarios and site files to ensure data matches current traffic and training goals.
  • Modify facility scenarios and site files to optimize data and address issues.
  • Develop scenarios using SimFast, Stars in a Box, or ATCoach as required.
  • Package scenarios for ATCoach delivery and verify objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA JO 3120.4 requirements and provide remote familiarization when needed.
  • Support demonstrations to project stakeholders and participate in FAA training on methods/tools.
