Job summary

Sorren, a top 50 national advisory firm, seeks a senior assurance leader in California to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of the firm’s most complex audits, serve as the technical authority on GAAP/GAAS and SEC reporting, and coordinate external communications.

You will mentor senior managers, manage budgets, drive process improvement, and lead business development while upholding the firm’s standards of quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Extensive experience leading high-profile assurance engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex assurance engagements.
• Serve as technical authority on GAAP/GAAS and SEC reporting.
• Direct preparation and distribution of external financial statements.
• Advise leadership and clients on accounting trends and regulatory changes.
• Oversee engagement budgets and resource planning for profitability.
• Mentor senior managers and build leadership within the team.
• Lead firm-wide business development efforts and client pitches.
• Drive innovation by adopting new audit tools and workflows.
• Review major deliverables for accuracy and relevance.
