Job summary

Remedial Construction Services, L.P. (RECON) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our on-site team outside Houston, Texas.

You will partner with the Project Manager to direct daily earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction activities, supervise crews and heavy equipment, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance. Qualifications

• Five or more years directing earthwork construction projects and environmental remediation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and Teams; familiarity with Primavera (P6) and cost estimating tools is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Strategically connect project goals with daily field operations from start-up to closure.
• Lead safety initiatives and coordinate behavioral safety programs.
• Direct execution of project work per contract scope; manage pre-bid activities, start-up, contracts, resources, costs, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Manage project controls to report progress and compile status reports.
• Use risk matrices and KPI graphs to track and manage project risks.
• Analyze progress and financial data to forecast completion dates and outcomes.
• Maintain client relationships to promote cooperation and timely payments.
• Coach project teams and uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Prepare and submit invoices; monitor payment status and pursue late or partial payments.
• Prepare estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
