Job summary

RECON is seeking a Project Manager to oversee daily operations for earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction projects in the Western United States.

The role leads field crews, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, monitors budgets and schedules, and collaborates with clients to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in earthwork, mine reclamation, soil stabilization, or environmental remediation project management.
• Proven leadership with ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and cost estimating tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project execution from planning through closeout.
• Lead field crews and heavy equipment operations, ensuring safety and productivity.
• Maintain project controls, progress reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Manage contract administration, change orders, and cost control.
• Coordinate with safety teams to uphold safety programs.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontracted services.
• Foster client relationships to ensure timely payments and repeat business.
