Job summary

RECON, a Keller Company, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction projects across the Eastern United States. The role includes leading field crews, managing heavy equipment operations, and ensuring safety and project compliance.

The initial months will be spent on-site in Carteret, NJ, with ongoing travel to various project sites. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, change orders,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing earthwork/construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CM/CE/Environmental science.
• Proven financial responsibility and leadership.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Willingness to travel across the Eastern US.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project execution from planning to closeout.
• Collaborate with Safety team to implement safety programs.
• Direct project execution in alignment with contractual scope and requirements.
• Oversee project controls, daily progress reporting, and data collection for status updates.
• Use Risk Matrices and KPI dashboards to identify and manage risks.
• Develop forecasts and status reports with projected completion dates and budget adherence.
• Cultivate strong client relationships to ensure timely payments and repeat business.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Prepare, submit, and track invoices and resolve payment issues.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted services.
