Job summary

RECON is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction across the Western United States, with travel to sites as needed. You will lead field crews, ensure safety compliance, manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive earthwork/construction project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and financial management capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Teams; scheduling software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of project execution from planning to closeout.
  • Lead field crews and heavy equipment operations with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
  • Manage scope, cost control, procurement, subcontractors, and cash flow; negotiate changes.
  • Monitor progress through project controls and KPI dashboards; report status to stakeholders.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and schedule updates with risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain client relationships to ensure timely payments and repeat business.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Track invoices and ensure alignment with contractual terms and completion work.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and services.
