Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Active licensure in the state where the hospital is located.
• Current DEA license.
• USDA accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
• Comfort with anesthesia and routine surgeries (spays/neuters, dentals).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care through exams, diagnostics, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures (spays/neuters, mass removals, exploratory surgery).
• Perform dental procedures including exams, radiographs, extractions, and oral surgery.
• Develop treatment plans for day hospital patients and coordinate with referral hospitals as needed.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to staff.
• Maintain professional patient records and ensure high standards of care.
