Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Veterinarian to lead high‑quality veterinary care in a Vetco Total Care hospital. You will perform exams, diagnose diseases, and develop treatment plans while collaborating with a team to ensure exceptional patient and client experiences.

The role includes performing spays/neuters, dental work, and day hospitalization planning, with emphasis on compassionate care and adherence to Petco SOPs.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA‑accredited school.
• Active veterinary license in the state where the hospital is located.
• USDA accreditation or eligibility to obtain within two months.
• DEA license to handle controlled substances.
• Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including examinations, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures (spays/neuters, abdominal surgery, mass removals).
