Petco is seeking a Veterinarian for its Vetco Total Care hospital network. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, comprehensive medical and surgical services, and collaboration with a skilled team to deliver exceptional outcomes for pets and their families.

The successful candidate will perform physical exams, diagnose diseases, and provide preventive care, while taking part in rounds, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of hospital services within a supportive Petco framework.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Active licensure in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license and, if applicable, Controlled Substance License.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire.
• Comfort performing anesthesia and routine surgeries (canine/feline spays, neuters, dentals).

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent patient care through physical exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters and mass removals.
• Perform routine and complex dental procedures and radiographs.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate care with referral hospitals for continuity.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to improve hospital care.
