Petco in Florida is seeking a licensed veterinarian to join our Vetco Total Care team. You will provide high‑quality medical care, conduct exams, diagnose diseases, perform surgeries and dental procedures, and develop treatment plans for day surgery and hospital patients.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from AVMA‑accredited school and license to practice in the state.
• Active veterinary license in the start state or ability to obtain before start date.
• Current DEA license for controlled substances.
• Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care by performing examinations, diagnosing diseases, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters, abdominal explorations, and mass removals.
• Perform routine and complex dental procedures with radiographs and extractions.
• Develop treatment plans for patients and coordinate with referral hospitals as needed.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to staff to improve care and communication.
• Collaborate with team to maintain high standards of patient care and customer service.
