Job summary

The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation is seeking full-time and part-time Child Care/Pre-School educators in California. The candidates will provide direct care, guidance, and instruction in a nurturing environment to promote children's growth.

Job Summary

To provide direct care, guidance, and instruction to the children of the MAOF Child Care and Development Centers. To instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth that stimulates learning, according to the developmental stages of the children.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Teacher: Must possess a valid Associate Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
  • Teacher: Must possess a valid Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of classroom experience (paid or volunteer) in a preschool or childcare setting preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including low-income families and individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
  • Commitment to providing quality services to children, families, and the community.
  • Ability to assess situations and respond appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, maintain professionalism, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
