Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate Systems Administrator to administer, monitor, and support hardware platforms and operating systems within our distribution and transportation IT environment.

You will work as part of a team to ensure high system uptime, document standards and procedures, and enable efficient DC operations. The role requires hands-on support of Dematic/GOH-like systems and related network infrastructure in a full-time, in-office setting in Fort Mill, SC.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience supporting retail systems in a complex environment.
• Solid understanding of retail dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment.
• Experience with Distribution Center / Warehouse management systems.
• Experience with networking topologies, wireless computing infrastructure, servers, routers, switches, firewall, VPN, VoIP and IP devices.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems and of data center design and environmental support components.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, maintain, configure, secure and support hardware platforms and operating systems.
• Develop and deliver timely solutions to problems to keep IT moving forward with high workmanship quality.
• Plan and execute performance baselines, monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to all supported individuals or organizations.
• Perform hardware/software configuration and release management.
• Utilize SDLC processes to develop, present and track project activity.
