D.A. Davidson Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to own and operate our computer systems and infrastructure.

You will support virtual and physical servers, core enterprise applications, and related technologies, while providing technical guidance and improving system availability. The role requires hands-on experience with Active Directory, Windows, Azure, Microsoft 365, Office, and VMware, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience supporting computer systems in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of scripting, automation, backup and disaster recovery, virtualization, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Windows, Azure, Microsoft 365, Office, and VMware.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
• Microsoft Azure and VMware certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel as needed.
• Regular attendance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support computer systems and infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve escalated tickets and outages.
• Maintain system availability, security, capacity, and performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Identify and implement automation and monitoring improvements.
• Participate in long-term projects and lifecycle activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
