Job summary
Target is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to ensure high equipment availability and optimize system performance in our supply chain facilities. You will lead building automation, drive continuous improvement, and handle new installation initiatives for material handling equipment.
You will also function as an escalated support resource during downtime events, perform root-cause analyses, and train internal technicians to maintain safe, efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Two or four-year Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or equivalent degree / experience.
- Experience with installing and maintaining many types of software and hardware.
- Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high equipment availability and optimize system performance using preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
- Lead building automation, continuous improvement, and new installation initiatives for material handling equipment.
- Serve as an escalated support resource during downtime events and lead root cause analysis and training.
- Monitor overall health of the building’s material handling equipment and train internal technicians.
