Job summary

D.A. Davidson Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to directly support and own the computer systems and infrastructure across the company.

You will manage virtual and physical servers, core enterprise apps, and related technologies, contributing to design, project delivery, and continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot complex issues, help maintain security and performance, and collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience in supporting and administering computer systems in an enterprise.
• Scripting/automation, backup and disaster recovery, virtualization, endpoint management, and monitoring.
• Hands-on with AD, Windows, Azure, M365, and VMware or similar tech.
• Strong problem solving, design and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
• Ability to travel and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, manage, monitor, maintain, and improve computer systems and related hardware.
• Provide technical ownership and SME for assigned platforms and services.
• Investigate escalated tickets, outages, and incidents; coordinate resources as needed.
• Maintain system availability, security, capacity, and performance.
• Design, implement, and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop scripting, automation, and monitoring to reduce manual work and risk.
• Lead or participate in projects, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities.
• Contribute to technical standards, roadmaps, and operational practices.
• Create and maintain documentation and design diagrams.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
