Job summary

enGen is seeking a software engineer to join an agile team building scalable applications across digital channels. You will contribute from idea through design to implementation, applying modern languages and patterns to deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes mastering web services, working in Scrum, and collaborating with senior engineers. A Bachelor's in CS/CE and hands-on coding experience are required, with preference for further study and mainframe exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
1 year proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in the building and deploying of scalable; highly available systems.
1 year of experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and at least two of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
1 year understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON.

Responsibilities

Design and create engineering specifications for software applications; write code adhering to standards; perform code reviews.
Generate ideas, explore and propose appropriate technical solutions to achieve required features; monitor process against project plan for scalability and performance.
Participate in all Scrum ceremonies; assist in sprint planning; complete required sprints from development to final execution.
Create tasks for stories (e.g., DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation) in RTC or Jira; manage status and assignments.
Monitor progress and report issues to senior developers/principals regularly.
