Job summary

enGen is seeking a software engineer to join an agile team responsible for scalable software across digital channels. You will craft engineering specifications, write clean code, and perform code reviews while evaluating architecture and design decisions.

The role requires experience with modern languages (Java, Python, JavaScript) and web services; you will participate in scrum ceremonies and drive implementations from design to deployment. Office-based position in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 1 year in design/analysis of algorithms and scalable systems.
• 1 year in at least one modern programming language and experience with two of React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 1 year understanding of web services (REST, HTTPS, JSON).
• 3 years with one or more general purpose languages and frontend/backend experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications; write code per standards and perform code reviews.
• Generate ideas, evaluate solutions, monitor technical progress against plan, ensure scalability and performance.
• Work in an agile team; participate in scrum ceremonies; support sprint planning and execution.
