Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Chicago seeks an Associate Property Manager to support the property management team in handling a portfolio of properties, including marketing, operations and financial activities.

You will assist in inspections, budgeting, vendor payments, tenant coordination and reporting to ensure compliance with policies and standards. The role involves coordinating move-ins/outs, preparing tenant billings, and providing guidance to staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant needs; coordinate with admin and building staff to resolve issues promptly per policies.
• Perform periodic property inspections; suggest maintenance or reconditioning as needed.
• Review and approve vendor invoices for payment to property owner.
• Issue Purchase Orders per CBRE policies and assist with tenant billings.
• Coordinate tenant move-ins/outs and walks-throughs with tenants and TI dept.
• Prepare and deliver timely reports; assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Produce budget data or enter data into budget reports.
• Gather data for accounts receivable aging reports.
• Provide informal guidance and training to coworkers.

About The Role:

The Associate Property Manager will support the Manager or higher staff in handling all aspects of a single property or portfolio of commercial, industrial or retail properties including marketing, operations and financial activities.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to tenant needs, ensuring that administrative and building technical staff resolve problems promptly. Ensures that services are provided in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and contractual obligations and standards.
• Assist in performing periodic regular property inspections. Recommends alterations, maintenance and reconditioning as necessary.
• Review and recommend approvals for accurate payment of vendor invoices on behalf of the property owner.
• Responsible for assignment of Purchase Orders per CBRE Policies and AS approval authorization matrix. Assist with the preparation of accurate tenant billings.
• Assist in coordinating tenant move-ins and move-outs, and "walks-through" spaces with tenants and tenant improvement department.
• Assist in preparing and delivering timely, accurate and complete reports. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• May assist in producing research data on budget line items or entering budget data provided by manager into budget reports.
• May gather and confirm preliminary data for accounts receivable aging reports
• Provide informal assistance such as operational guidance, and/or training to coworkers.
