Suffolk Construction in West Palm Beach is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in the day-to-day project management operations on the job.

The role involves logging and tracking contracts and purchase orders, reviewing submittals and RFIs, coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting with permit processes, safety trainings, meeting minutes, and close-out documentation. Initial work in the Miami/WPB office with a transition to St Thomas is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in applicable discipline or related field.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Log-in and track Contracts & Purchase Orders
• Price, approve and/or reject Project Change Orders, Submittals, and respond to RFIs
• Log-in, track and review shop drawings and submittals and respond to RFIs
• Request Insurance Certificates from subcontractors to review compliance with insurance requirements
• Create and update Vendor and Subcontractor Contact Log
• Price and create Proposed Change Orders
• Submit, track response and issue RFIs
• Manage building permit processes and related issues
• Coordinate plan revisions with municipalities
• Work with attorneys on contracts and certificates
• Act as liaison with subcontractors to resolve disputes
• Assist with Project Schedule Narratives
• Distribute Weekly Video to General Manager
• Create Weekly Meeting Minutes – Owner’s and Subcontractors meetings
• Set up coordination meetings with Subcontractors
• Distribute revised drawings to Subcontractors
• Write PO and Subcontract descriptions with best judgment
• Obtain and track Subcontractor warranty certificates
• Create close-out manuals
• Conduct OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER and safety trainings
