Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI San Antonio 116 operations based in San Antonio, TX. This role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI, offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating to support growth and career advancement.

The position involves safety meetings, punch list creation, QA/QC support, RFIs/submittals, labor control, material takeoffs, scheduling, and coordination of warranties and O&M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings.
• Create and manage punch lists.
• Support QA/QC measures per PCI’s program.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Labor control on projects including setup and maintenance.
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
• Support job scheduling implementation.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M activities.
• Coordinate material with purchase orders and invoicing.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI San Antonio 116 operations based in San Antonio, TX.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay Range: $72,600-$77,600

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
