Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Austin 549 operations based in Austin, TX. The role serves as a launching pad for future leaders with hands-on experience in project management and estimating.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch list creation, QA/QC support, RFIs and submittals, labor control, takeoffs, and coordinating schedules, warranties, and invoicing. The position is safety-sensitive and not visa-sponsored.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs and strong initiative.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay Range: $76,400 - $81,400

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
