Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Salt Lake City operations based in Salt Lake City, UT. The role launches leaders with hands-on project management and estimating experience in a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch lists, QA/QC, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and material coordination, with a focus on teamwork and initiative. This position is safety-sensitive and not visa‑sponsoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings.
• Create and manage punch lists.
• Support PCI QA/QC program.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Labor control on projects; setup and maintenance.
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
• Assist in implementing the job schedule.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M.
• Coordinate materials with purchase orders and invoicing.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Salt Lake City operations based in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering \<\/li>
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
