Walmart is seeking an Associate Optometrist in Altoona, PA to join the Vision Center team and partner with the Vision Center Manager to advance eyecare affordability and access. You will deliver evidence-based eye care, educate patients, and collaborate with store staff to ensure high-quality services.

As part of Walmart Vision Center, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, prescribe medications, fit eyeglasses and contacts, and coordinate referrals when needed, while upholding regulatory

Formación

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
• PGY-1 completion in area of emphasis (e.g., family practice, low vision care, pediatric or geriatric optometry, ocular disease) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides evidence-based vision care, prescribes medications and treatments, and educates patients and staff on eye health and safety.
• Evaluates patients across the full vision center scope, conducts comprehensive eye exams, and prescribes glasses or contacts.
• Develops treatment plans based on clinical presentation and coordinates with other health professionals as needed.
• Represents Walmart in vision care and delivers exceptional customer service, manages patient information, and adheres to healthcare regulations.
