Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• PGY-1 in area of emphasis (e.g., family practice, low vision, pediatric or ocular disease) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Educate patients and staff on eye health and contact lens care.
• Refer to ophthalmologists and coordinate care with other health professionals.
• Document patient history and treatment plans accurately.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and Walmart Vision Center guidelines.
