Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the Vision Center and partner with the Vision Center Manager to advance patient eye care. The role emphasizes autonomy, community trust, and responsible clinical practice.

You will provide evidence-based vision care, prescribe medications, educate patients and store associates on eye health, and embrace advanced instrumentation such as digital phoropters and Maestro OCT/retinal camera.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• EMR/EHR experience.
• Eagerness to embrace new equipment technology and advanced instrumentation.
• Experience in treating and managing ocular disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care to ensure patients health and well-being.
• Deliver routine vision care following evidence-based guidelines.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health, contact lens care and disease state management.
• Consult with other health professionals to prepare patient care plans and observe optometry scope of practice.
