Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the Vision Center team. This role partners with the Vision Center Manager to deliver evidence-based eye care to our patients in a fast-paced retail setting.

The ideal candidate will have an OD, be licensed in the state, and be comfortable with EMR systems and advanced instrumentation. You will educate customers, collaborate with clinicians, and uphold regulatory standards to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
• EMR experience and comfort with new equipment/tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and contact lens care.
• Consult with other health professionals to develop patient care plans within scope of practice.
• Adhere to policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards for prescriptions and claims.
