Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical oversight for hospice patients across Broward County, guiding symptom management and care plans in both in-patient and field settings.

You will collaborate with APRNs, RNs and attending physicians to optimize pain control, coordinate IDG meetings, and ensure compliance with state regulatory standards while advancing compassionate, Full Life Care for All.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in a related specialty
• Active Florida medical license to practice medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide symptom control expertise and collaborate with APRN/RN to evaluate and initiate pain/symptom management
• Collaborate with RN to create and implement the plan of care
• Collaborate with attending physician to develop/update the plan of care and ensure direct medical services for pain and symptom management
• Serve as a medical resource and educator to staff, patients, families and attending physicians regarding admission criteria, pain/symptom control, and end-of-life care
• Adhere to Florida DOH requirements and regulatory/accreditation standards; participate in IDG meetings with a team approach

Trustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical oversight and leadership for hospice patients and their families across Broward County. The Associate Medical Director will oversee the medical direction of the care and treatment of Hospice patients, both in-patient and field, as well as serving as a physician consult for Palliative Care patients within the Empath Health. care.Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice has been honored to serve families across Palm Beach and Broward counties with compassionate, community-based care. Formed from the legacy of Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Palm Beach County, we continue to provide comfort, dignity, and peace to those facing advanced illness.What you'll Do:Provides symptom control expertise and communicates with the APRN and/or RN to evaluate and initiate treatments for pain/symptom management.
