Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to coordinate allocation and replenishment strategies across stores, ensuring optimal inventory levels aligned with the merchandise plan. You will partner with AR Managers, Merch Buyers and Merchandisers to maximize sales and turns while maintaining assortments for new and existing stores.

You will analyze inventory by location, product attributes and seasonality, and you will mentor interns and trainees while driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years experience in merchandise allocations or planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• JDA Allocations and/or E3 experience required.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Experience training others and mentoring is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations system and place replenishment orders.
• Maintain proper inventory levels by store location to hit sales, margin and turn goals.
• Partner with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reporting and take actions to fix issues promptly.
• Utilize customer needs knowledge to optimize system settings and omni-channel experiences.
• Lead meetings with Buyers and Merchandisers on item flow and ladders for replenishment.
• Help manage cluster creation and inventory ownership for areas of responsibility.
• Train and mentor Interns and Merchandise Trainees.
• Ensure item eligibility through ITEL and maintain proper assortment expectations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
