Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring an Associate Inventory Planner in Pennsylvania to support mid-level merchandise allocations and replenishment strategies. You will balance store inventory with the merchandise plan, participate in new store openings, and collaborate with Buyers, AR Managers, and Planning teams to optimize assortments and inventories.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, data-driven decision making, and mentorship of interns and trainees in a dynamic omni-channel environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience in merchandise allocations and/or planning.
• Advanced Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and complex formulas.
• JDA Allocations and E3 experience required.
• Strong mathematical skills and analytical mindset.
• Training experience and clear communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders and place replenishment orders using Allocations system.
• Maintain store-level inventory levels to meet sales, margin and turn goals.
• Collaborate with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation/replenishment strategies.
• Review inventory reports and address instock issues promptly.
• Leverage customer insights to optimize system settings and processes for omni-channel satisfaction.
• Lead meetings with Buyers and Merch Planners on item flow and forecasts.
• Co-manage cluster creation and oversee ITEL-based assortments.
• Train and mentor interns and merchandise trainees.
