Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Inventory Planner to help implement allocation and replenishment strategies. You will support inventory levels to meet financial goals, ensure correct assortments for new stores, and collaborate with Merchants and Planners to optimize stock and regional needs.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, cross-functional teamwork, and timely actions to maintain optimal in-store availability and merchandising performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• JDA Allocations and/or JDA Fulfillment experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk PO using Allocations system and place weekly replenishment orders.
• Maintain inventory levels by store to support sales, margins and turns.
• Partner with Inventory Planner/AR Manager on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review instock reports and address issues with Inventory Planner/AR Manager promptly.
• Analyze and communicate product, size, and color inventory needs.
• Execute new store plans with correct assortment and levels.
• Perform inventory re-balancing opportunities as needed.
• Address store merchandise needs and relay higher level inventory needs to the Inventory Planner/AR Manager.
• Manage item eligibility through ITEL to ensure proper assortment and instock reporting.
