Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to optimize allocation and replenishment to align with the merchandise plan. You will support mid-level businesses, build store plans, and ensure correct assortments and inventory levels across locations.

Collaborate with AR Managers, Merchandise Planners, and Buyers to implement strategies, monitor in-stock levels, and drive omni-channel inventory accuracy. This role requires strong analytical prowess and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years experience including 2+ in merchandise allocations/planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Experience with JDA Allocations and/or E3.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Training and mentoring experience.
• Strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders and replenishment POs using the Allocations system.
• Maintain store-level inventory to support sales, margin and turn goals.
• Collaborate with AR Manager, Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reports and act to fix issues promptly.
• Analyze product, size, color, and regional inventory needs by store.
• Partner with Merchants on merchandising/stock plans for new stores.
• Create ad-hoc analyses for trends and store performance.
• Train and mentor interns and merchandise trainees.
