Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Inventory Planner to assist with the implementation and execution of allocation and replenishment strategies. You will help maintain optimal store inventories to support financial goals, advertising initiatives, and regional needs, ensuring new stores open with correct assortments and inventory levels.

You will work with the Inventory Planner/AR Manager to execute buy strategies, review stock reports, and communicate product needs across locations,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
1–3 years of inventory/planning experience.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience with JDA Allocations or JDA Fulfillment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Allocate bulk purchase orders and place weekly replenishment POs.
Maintain store-level inventory to meet sales and margin goals.
Collaborate with Inventory Planner/AR Manager on allocation and replenishment strategies.
Review in-stock reports and address issues in a timely manner.
Communicate inventory needs by product, size and color to planning teams.
Execute new store plans ensuring correct assortment and inventory levels.
Adjust inventory through rebalancing opportunities as needed.
Review store merchandise needs and escalate to Inventory Planner as appropriate.
Understand item eligibility and ensure proper assortment in ITEL and systems.
