Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in the United States is seeking an Assistant Inventory Planner to support allocation and replenishment strategies. You will help maintain optimal store inventory levels to meet financial goals, open new stores with appropriate assortments, and coordinate with Merchandising and AR Managers to execute merchandise plans.

You will allocate purchase orders, monitor in-stock reporting, analyze inventory needs by product line, and assist with re-balancing opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.
1–3 years of experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with JDA Allocations or JDA Fulfillment is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Customer-service orientation.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Ability to work in a team and manage details.

Responsibilities

Allocate bulk purchase orders and place weekly replenishment orders.
Maintain store-level inventory levels to support goals.
Collaborate with AR Manager to implement allocation and replenishment strategies.
Review stock reports and address instock issues promptly.
Analyze product, size, and color inventory needs.
Ensure new stores open with correct assortments.
Execute inventory re-balancing opportunities.
Communicate store merchandise needs to the Inventory Planner.
