Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Project Management to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on leading client relationships, driving revenue, and managing project portfolios across infrastructure and campus projects.

The candidate will oversee bid teams, mentor staff, manage budgets and invoicing, and develop cross-selling opportunities while coordinating with senior management to deliver complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.
• Graduate degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a project management role in the construction industry.
• Experience managing client accounts effectively and efficiently.
• Experience managing teams of project managers and supporting staff.
• Strong knowledge of local construction market and lifecycle.
• Ability to develop relationships with internal teams, clients, and cross-functional members.
• Business development experience with existing and new clients, including cross-selling.
• Technical and leadership experience overseeing major construction projects or programs.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Project Management in managing client relationships and driving revenue through new work and renewals.
• Lead bid teams and coordinate proposal generation with senior management.
• Attend client interviews to present service offerings.
• Provide weekly updates on project status, staffing, and issues.
• Provide effective line management, coaching and mentoring to staff.
• Utilize spreadsheets and tools to track margins, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure invoices are accurate and issued promptly; handle receivables.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and develop strategies to promote across the U.S.
• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations; collaborate to generate new business.
• Attend networking events and promotional opportunities.
• Lead small PM team for infrastructure projects and oversee programs across districts.
• Liaise with municipal authorities overseeing infrastructure projects.
