Job summary

Tufts University is seeking an Associate Director of Program Operations and Strategy for the Pre-College Programs within University College. You will drive operational goals, manage 1,200 minor students’ on-campus experiences, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure program quality and safety.

Role requires strong organization, collaboration, and strategic planning skills, with responsibility for staff supervision, budgeting, and long-range program expansion in a dynamic academic setting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years’ experience in residential life, specifically working with high school aged students and/or undergraduates.
• Deep understanding of the application of student development in practice.
• Knowledge of and direct experience with on-call crisis and supervision of residential staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational strategy for Pre-College programs and oversee planning year-round.
• Coordinate with Residential Life, transportation, insurance, and other vendors.
• Design and implement training and onboarding for staff working with minors.
• Manage housing operations, student communications, and safety procedures.
• Supervise professional staff and ensure program goals align with Tufts strategy.
