Job summary

Tufts University seeks an Associate Director of Admissions to lead recruitment and selection for first-year and transfer students across multiple schools. Reporting to a Director, you will oversee portfolios, manage staff, and help meet enrollment objectives.

You will participate in review processes, coordinate with campus partners, and travel as needed to support recruitment efforts, while contributing to training and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in selective admissions or related field.
• Experience with student recruitment and travel.
• Experience with application evaluation (individual or committee-based).
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with CRM management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio including communications, data analysis, access and outreach, recruitment, selection, events, staff development, or related areas.
• Participate in undergraduate application review and selection processes; lead or chair committees as needed.
• Serve as on-campus point-of-contact for visitors via in-person, virtual, email, and phone formats.
• Collaborate with campus partners on data and project-based work; coordinate with external partners as directed.
• Conduct information sessions and workshops for diverse audiences, on- and off-campus.
• Supervise 1-4 professional staff; contribute to office training initiatives.
• Complete other projects and duties as assigned; maintain frequent campus presence in hybrid model.
