Job summary

Tufts University’s University College seeks an Associate Director of Program Operations and Strategy for the Pre-College Programs. You will drive operations, planning, and partnerships to support 1,200 minor students in residential and commuter formats, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-coordinated campus experience.

You will lead a cross-functional team, collaborate with vendors and Tufts departments, and shape program growth while maintaining policy and risk management standards.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in residential life with high school or undergraduate students.
• Deep understanding of student development in practice.
• Experience with on-call crisis and supervision of residential staff.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and track details to execute day-to-day operations.
• Strong project management and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communications and relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with Technolutions Slate and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and execution of operational plans for 1,200 minor students annually.
• Manages residential life processes, housing transitions, and student communications.
• Oversees training, staffing, and supervision of residential and program staff.
• Coordinates with vendors, campus partners, and external stakeholders.
• Drives forecasting, benchmarking, and multi-year calendar planning.
• Ensures safety, compliance, and high-quality student experiences.
