Job summary

University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking a Director of Programs to lead Talent Search and Talent Search TBACHS, coordinating services with Pre-collegiate TRIO and Early College programs. The role oversees budgets, staffing, and partnerships with Boston Public Schools to ensure student success in college preparation.

Responsibilities include supervising Program Coordinator and counselors, developing curricula, and coordinating grant applications while ensuring compliance with funder

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated grant and program management experience is required.
• Knowledge of Boston Public School System or a similar public school district is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Talent Search and Talent Search TBACHS programs, ensuring objectives are met and funder requirements are followed.
• Direct supervision of program staff including coordinators and counselors.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate program staffing and fiscal matters.
• Develop and implement curricula, summer components, and student services.
• Collaborate with district and school personnel, community partners, and university departments.
• Prepare annual performance reports and proposals for funding sources.
