Job Description

AbbVie Patient Services is a leading organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient support, enhancing brand loyalty and satisfaction. The Associate Director, Business Process Design, will translate business strategies into effective program designs that support our people, processes, and technology to meet current and future patient needs. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to define and optimize end-to-end business processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across diverse functions. They will partner with teams across Business Technology Solutions, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Patient Engagement, Access and Reimbursement, and vendor partners to ensure cohesive program development and implementation.

Major Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings by leveraging best practices and standard procedures.
  • Translate business strategies into operational processes for new care models.
  • Enhance patient experiences based on performance data and market changes.
  • Support program development and integration with internal and external partners, articulating detailed processes and requirements.
  • Ensure the delivery of optimal patient/agent experiences aligned with program strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify reporting needs and leverage data effectively for insights.
  • Identify new opportunities for process and service improvements beyond current organizational thinking.
  • Work with leadership to establish priorities and strategic focus areas.
  • Provide tactical and strategic guidance on platform solutions supporting customer needs and organizational objectives.
  • Influence stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions, promoting AbbVie's ways of working and talent philosophy.
  • Continuously review and refine processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability.
  • Document best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and facilitate onboarding.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of management experience.
  • 7+ years in Enterprise/Program/Project Management and translating business needs into solutions.
  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in application support and process optimization.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of data networks, services, middleware, and omni-channel platforms, CRM solutions, and BI environments.
