Job summary

Tempus is seeking an Associate Director to lead high-impact outcomes research within its Data Business for biopharma partners. You will design and validate novel epidemiological methods, translating complex non-linear data into regulatory-grade insights to accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes.

You will oversee a team of outcomes researchers, collaborate across Data Science, Biostatistics and Product, and ensure research complies with GEP/HIPAA standards while delivering on

Qualifications

• PhD or PharmD or MSc in Epi/Stats/Health Econ required.
• 7+ years in HEOR/RWE with 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong oncology expertise and epidemiology methods.
• Experience with causal inference and ML in real-world data.
• Ability to translate complex methods to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research Design & Implementation: architect study protocols and end-to-end retrospective analyses.
• Scientific Thought Leadership: advise biopharma clients; contribute to publications and conferences.
• Client Strategy & Partnership: identify opportunities for novel methodology with account teams.
• Methodological Innovation: develop external control arms and longitudinal data integration.
• Publication Strategy: lead dissemination through manuscripts and abstracts.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: align Data Science, Biostatistics and Product.
• Project Management & Quality: ensure regulatory/ethical standards and timely delivery.
• People Management: guide a small team of outcomes researchers.
