Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• Minimum of five years of experience in higher education

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to achieve regulatory goals.
• Complete annual compliance activities as assigned.
• Audit programs and locations for readiness and compliance with academic standards.
• Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicate concerns to AVP of Academic Compliance.
• Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with leadership for advisory board meetings and documentation.

• Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards
• Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources to navigate regional and programmatic variations.
• Develop and maintain documentation illustrating standard variations and deadlines.
• Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records, documentation, and training materials on MyHerzing.

• Manage regulatory reporting projects
• Oversee project timelines, quality assurance, and support accreditation submissions.
• Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities for compliance improvements.
• Report project status to senior leadership.

• Ensure visit and meeting readiness for regulatory compliance
• Conduct mock visits, maintain visit preparation repositories, and prepare leaders for regulatory visits.
• Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistical needs.

• Position the University for strategic growth
• Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
• Participate in strategic planning calls and represent the university externally.
• Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets, advise on processes and timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required
• Must remain stationary most of the time, with occasional movement around work locations.
• Ability to quickly move around campus, classrooms, and clinical settings.
• Constant verbal communication with students and staff.
• Ability to observe and assess visually or otherwise.
• Operate relevant equipment, including computers and audiovisual tools.
