Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
   • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to obtain desired outcomes with regulatory initiatives.
   • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned to accomplish strategic priorities.
   • Audit programs and locations of assigned areas to ensure readiness and compliance with academic standards.
   • Assess for potential and existing areas of vulnerability and risk related to accreditation and regulatory compliance, and communicate concerns to the AVP of Academic Compliance.
   • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely.
   • Coordinate with location and program leadership for advisory board meetings, documentation, and communication.
2. Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
   • Keep up-to-date with state, institutional, and programmatic accreditation standards.
   • Develop resources and documentation to navigate varying standards across regions and programs.
   • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
   • Maintain records, project plans, and resources on MyHerzing.
   • Provide training on standards to university constituents.
3. Manage regulatory reporting projects
   • Oversee project timelines, support, and quality assurance for compliance reporting.
   • Collaborate on accreditation submissions with faculty and staff.
   • Review standards and advise senior leadership on opportunities.
   • Communicate project status and needs.
4. Ensure readiness for regulatory visits and meetings
   • Conduct mock visits and maintain visit preparation resources.
   • Prepare leaders for visits to reflect positively on the university.
   • Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistics.
5. Support strategic growth of the university
   • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
   • Participate in strategic discussions for program launches and discontinuations.
   • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders for accreditation and approvals.

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required.
• Ability to remain stationary and move around as needed.
• Operate program-specific equipment and communicate effectively.
