Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to achieve regulatory initiatives
• Complete annual compliance activities to meet strategic priorities
• Audit programs and locations for readiness and compliance with academic standards
• Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicate concerns to the AVP of Academic Compliance
• Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are conducted and documented
• Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
• Keep up-to-date with state, institutional, and programmatic accreditation standards
• Develop resources to navigate varying standards across regions and programs
• Maintain documentation and resources on MyHerzing
• Provide training on regulatory standards to university constituents
• Project management for regulatory reporting
• Manage timelines, support, and quality assurance for reporting
• Collaborate on accreditation submissions
• Review standards and recommend improvements to leadership
• Communicate project status effectively
• Promote readiness for regulatory visits and meetings
• Conduct mock visits and maintain readiness repositories
• Prepare leaders for regulatory presentations
• Represent the compliance team during visits and meetings
• Support logistics for site visits
• Position the University for strategic growth
• Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
• Participate in strategic discussions on program launches and discontinuations
• Represent the university with external regulatory entities
• Advise on accreditation processes for new programs and markets

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required
• Remain stationary most of the time
• Occasionally move around the work location
• Access classrooms, offices, and clinical settings as needed
• Communicate verbally with students and staff
• Observe and assess environments visually or otherwise
• Operate program-specific equipment and computers
