Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to meet regulatory initiatives.
    • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned.
    • Audit programs and locations to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicate concerns.
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and on time.
    • Coordinate with leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are conducted with proper documentation.
  2. Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources for navigating standards.
    • Maintain documentation and records on MyHerzing.
    • Provide training on regulatory standards to university staff.
  3. Project management for regulatory reporting
    • Manage timelines, support processes, and quality assurance for reports.
    • Collaborate on accreditation submissions and review standards for opportunities.
    • Communicate project status and needs to leadership.
  4. Promote readiness for regulatory visits and meetings
    • Conduct mock visits, maintain visit preparation resources.
    • Prepare leaders for visits, represent the compliance team, support logistics.
  5. Position the University for strategic growth
    • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
    • Participate in strategic calls, represent the university externally.
    • Advise on accreditation processes for new programs and markets.
    • Collaborate on program development and approvals.
Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 30% travel required.
  • Remain stationary, move around campus as needed.
  • Operate equipment, communicate verbally, observe and assess.
